About these terms

These terms apply to this website and the estimate on it. The website is run by Renewable Energy 1989, LLC, a Montana company. Renewable Energy is a trade name of Renewable Energy 1989, LLC. By using the site, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use it.

If you buy a system from us, your written contract governs the purchase. Where the contract and these terms differ, the contract wins.

Your estimate is not a quote

• The estimate is based on your answers and on public data: electricity prices from the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA), solar production from PVWatts, and the net metering rules in your state. We show the middle of our assumptions; each estimate shows its ranges, sources and assumptions under “How we calculated it.”
• It’s not an offer, a quote, a price or a guarantee of savings. Your real savings depend on how much power you use, your utility’s rates and rules, weather, shade, your roof, and the system you choose.
• Prices on this site are starting prices (“from”). Your exact price depends on your home, and we confirm it on the call. Only a signed written contract is an agreement between us.

Calls about your estimate

When you send the estimate form, you ask us to call you about your estimate. We call by hand, during calling hours in your state. We don’t text you, and we don’t use autodialers or prerecorded calls. Buying is never a condition of the call. Tell us at any time that you don’t want more calls, and we stop. Give us your own phone number and true details; don’t ask for an estimate for someone else without their permission.

Using this site

You may use this site for your own, personal and lawful purposes. Please don’t:

• send false information or use someone else’s name, phone or email;
• copy the site or collect its data with bots or scrapers;
• try to break into, overload or disrupt the site, or get around its security;
• use the site to send spam or harmful code.

We may limit or stop access for anyone who breaks these rules.

Our content and brands

The text, design, calculator and images on this site belong to us or are used with permission. You may view and print pages for your own use. Please don’t copy, sell or republish them without our written permission.

Tesla, Powerwall, Enphase, Qcells, REC, FranklinWH, SPAN and other product names are trademarks of their owners. The makers don’t sponsor or endorse this site. The 3D house and equipment views are illustrations, not exact models of your home or system.

Links to other websites are for your convenience. We don’t control those sites and aren’t responsible for them.

General information only

Information on this site about tax credits, incentives, utility rules and laws is general. It can change, and it isn’t tax, legal or financial advice. Please check with a tax professional before you count on a tax credit or incentive.

We work to keep this site accurate and running, but we provide it “as is” and can’t promise it will always be available or free of errors. To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses from using this site, such as lost profits or lost data.

Nothing in these terms limits your rights under your contract with us, our warranties, or the consumer protection laws of the state where you live.

Montana law and courts

• Montana law governs these terms, without regard to its conflict of laws rules.
• Any dispute about this site or these terms goes to the state or federal courts located in Montana. This doesn’t take away any right the law of your state gives you.
• There is no arbitration clause in these terms.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms. The new version applies from the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. If a part of these terms can’t be enforced, the rest still applies.
